How do I upload a closed caption file (SRT) to Vimeo?

Uploading an SRT file to your Vimeo video.

1. Log in to Vimeo and navigate to the “My Videos” section of the top bar menu.

2. Navigate to the video you want to caption or subtitle in Vimeo.

3. Under the “Distribution” menu in Vimeo, select “Subtitles.”

4. Click the + button next to “subtitles and captions.”

5. After choosing your language and type, select “Choose file” and select your caption or subtitle file.

6.Make sure your .srt file is active. The state button should be blue.

7. Click “Save.”

To watch your video with the new captions click the “CC” icon in the Vimeo player.
